The super-dreadnought GX Sword is a gigantic aerial drone-type weapon equipped with a combat AI, robust armor and powerful firepower. It is deployed on numerous unmanned combat support satellites in Earth orbit (up to 12 per satellite), and when it receives a request for operation from Diaclone units in various locations, it scrambles on autodrive and provides various combat support according to the battle situation.
In flight mode, it unfolds its main wings and X-shaped stabilizers to take on an aircraft-like form, and launches automatic attacks using a wide range of weapons, including anti-aircraft missiles on the top of the fuselage, ground bombing missiles on the bottom, machine guns on each wing, and optical beam weapons. In addition, against large targets such as mobile fortresses, it can launch a special attack maneuver called the Burst Smash Attack, which simultaneously performs a super-fast penetrating destruction attack that makes use of the ultra-hard photon cutting blades that cover most of the fuselage and the robust fuselage structure, and a full-power close-range full-burst attack, completely destroying the target.
During coordinated combat with GX, all control is switched from the combat AI to the master pilot of the Robot Base GX, and it is operated as a giant sword-shaped photon crystal cutting weapon.
Normally, it performs cutting attacks using only the photon crystal blade, but when a more powerful attack is required, it transforms into its strongest form, Absolute GX, in which the blade deploys and a large amount of diachrome photon crystals are ejected at high speed like a storm.
